A1 Direttissima motorway closed following truck accident

A truck overturned inside the Sparvo tunnel on the A1 Direttissima motorway, causing a significant traffic disruption. The accident, occurring near km 16, resulted in the closure of the section between Badia and the A1 Panoramica junction toward Bologna.

As of the afternoon of October 14, traffic is blocked within the closed section, and a 5 km queue has formed at the Badia exit. Drivers traveling from Rome or Florence toward Bologna are advised to use the A1 Panoramica or exit at Barberino to follow the SS 65 Futa route toward Sasso Marconi to avoid the congestion.
