A1 launches Smart Kids plan and smartwatch for children

A1 has launched the ‘Smart Kids’ tariff plan and a dedicated smartwatch designed for children aged 5 to 12. The package aims to provide parents with peace of mind and foster independence in children during the new school year.

The smartwatch features video chat, a school mode, and GPS tracking capabilities, allowing parents to monitor their child's route to school or during outings. For enhanced security, the device only accepts calls from numbers pre-approved via the ttec Kidi app and includes an SOS button that sends the child's precise location to a designated contact.

The hardware is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. The service is available through a 24-month subscription and leasing model, costing a total of €9.97 per month. The plan includes 500 minutes and 5,000 MB of data in Bulgaria, with increased data allowances for roaming within the EU/EEA.
