A10 motorway accident kills motorcyclist near Varazze

A fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a car occurred on the eastern branch of the A10 motorway in Liguria, Italy, between Varazze and Arenzano. The accident, which took place during the early morning of Sunday, August 16, resulted in the immediate death of the motorcyclist.

Four other individuals were injured in the crash. Some of the injured were transported to San Paolo Hospital in Savona under yellow code status.

The accident caused significant traffic disruptions for motorists traveling toward Genoa, leading to the closure of the affected stretch of highway and queues of approximately three kilometers near Varazze. Authorities directed drivers to exit at Varazze and use local roads to reach Arenzano. The Polizia Stradale is currently conducting investigations to determine the exact dynamics and responsibilities regarding the collision.
