A13 Brașov-Bacău highway divided into five functional lots

The National Company of Road Investments (CNIR) has finalized the division of the future A13 Brașov-Bacău highway into five independent functional lots. The total route spans 174 kilometers and will include 15 road junctions distributed across the Brașov, Covasna, and Bacău counties.

The planned segments are as follows:

• Lot 1: Codlea to Sfântu Gheorghe (approximately 47 km). • Lot 2: Sfântu Gheorghe to Târgu Secuiesc (approximately 34 km). • Lot 3: Târgu Secuiesc to Poiana Sărată (40 km). • Lot 4: Poiana Sărată to Onești Vest (22 km). • Lot 5: Onești Nord to Răcăciuni (approximately 33 km).

Major infrastructure connections include a high-speed junction in Codlea, linking the A13 to the future Sibiu-Făgăraș-Brașov highway, and a junction in Răcăciuni connecting to the Moldova Highway (A7). Geotechnical drilling is currently ongoing to finalize the feasibility study.
