A13 motorway and Saint-Cloud tunnel to undergo major repairs

Major roadworks in the Paris region will lead to significant traffic disruptions on the A13 motorway and the RN13. Starting November 16, the A13 will be closed in the direction from Paris to the provinces between the Boulevard Périphérique and the Vaucresson interchange. This closure is expected to last until the end of August 2027 to facilitate safety reinforcement and life-extension work on the north tube of the Saint-Cloud tunnel.

In addition to the A13 closure, repairs to the A13/RN13 interchange at Chaufour-lès-Bonnières in Yvelines will cause lane restrictions and speed limits of 50 km/h. These works are scheduled between October 5 and December 25, 2026, with lane neutralizations alternating between the Paris–Caen and Caen–Paris directions.

To mitigate the impact, authorities are proposing several alternatives. Ile-de-France Mobilités plans to reinforce train services and express bus offerings via the A14. A monthly ‘Navigo’ pass for 90 euros has been proposed, alongside increased carpooling options. For drivers, alternative routes include the RD910, RN118, A86, RN12, or A12. The Yvelines departmental assembly has also suggested a special 3.50 euro rate for the A86 Duplex to help manage local congestion.
