Italy motorway network undergoes widespread maintenance and safety upgrades
Italy is seeing widespread infrastructure maintenance and safety upgrades across its motorway network. In Liguria, works on the A26, A12, A7, and A10 are scheduled to resume in October, with efforts to minimize traffic impact during major events like the Genoa Boat Show.
Significant maintenance is also underway on the A14, including night closures between Pescara Nord and Atri Pineto, and works at the Marotta Mondolfo toll booth. Additionally, a fire near the A14 caused traffic delays in the Pescara area. On the A24 and A25, a new seismic safety plan is under review by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, aiming to modernize structures designed in the 1970s and improve the Rome-Pescara connection.
In the Veneto region, hydraulic safety works are beginning in the Bassa Padovana area to manage flood risks. Meanwhile, electrical system maintenance on the A24 in Rome will cause nighttime closures and diversions near the Tangenziale Est through early October.
