A2 motorway closures scheduled for Schweizerhalle Tunnel repairs

The A2 motorway in Switzerland will face several nighttime closures to facilitate repairs following a traffic accident. The damage occurred to the central lane guidance system at the east portal of the Schweizerhalle Tunnel.

Full closures in both directions are scheduled between Hagnau and Pratteln for two nights: Monday, October 5, to Tuesday, October 6, and Tuesday, October 6, to Wednesday, October 7, from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM. A third closure, affecting only the direction toward Zurich/Luzern, will take place from Wednesday, October 7, to Thursday, October 8, during the same hours.

Traffic will be diverted via Rheinfelderstrasse through the industrial area during these periods. Authorities noted that the repair work is weather-dependent and may be subject to rescheduling.
