The Blood of Dawnwalker sells 1 million copies in two days
The Blood of Dawnwalker, the debut action RPG from Polish studio Rebel Wolves, has achieved significant commercial success, surpassing 1 million copies sold within its first two to three days of release. Developed by a team of veterans from CD Projekt Red, including director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the game is available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The title has received strong critical and player reception, maintaining high Metacritic scores across platforms and a ‘Very Positive’ rating on Steam. Players have highlighted the game’s dark fantasy setting, its unique day/night cycle mechanics, and its narrative depth. On Steam, the game reached a peak of over 70,000 concurrent players.
In response to community feedback, the studio quickly implemented a ‘Performance Mode’ to provide 60 FPS on consoles. Additionally, the gaming community has already begun creating modifications, such as a ‘Geralt Face Swap’ mod and a ‘Better Story Timer’ mod to adjust the game’s 30-day time management mechanic. The success of this new intellectual property positions Rebel Wolves as a significant new player in the RPG market.
