A24 film Onslaught premieres in Mexican cinemas

The film Onslaught (Aniquilación), produced by A24 and directed by Adam Wingard, has been released in Mexican theaters via Cinépolis Distribución. The production blends science fiction, action, and horror.

Starring Adria Arjona as Celeste, an ex-military sniper, the plot follows her attempt to live a quiet life in an isolated desert community with her daughter. The peace is disrupted when genetically modified supersoldiers escape from a secret military facility, turning the area into a battlefield. To protect her family, Celeste must utilize her combat skills to face these indestructible threats.

The film features an ensemble cast including Dan Stevens, Drew Starkey, Alex Pereira, Michael Biehn, Rebecca Hall, and Reginald VelJohnson. Critics note the film's visceral violence, high-impact combat sequences, and dynamic editing, which may pose risks to viewers with photosensitivity.
