A heavy goods vehicle accident on the A28 highway caused a five-hour traffic standstill on Monday, September 14, 2026. The incident occurred around 5:00 AM near Bouttencourt on the Rouen-Abbeville axis.
The truck lost control and overturned on the roadway, prompting a total closure of the highway between the Vallée de la Bresle and Vimeu interchanges. Emergency services from Gamaches attended to the 49-year-old driver, who sustained minor injuries and was transported to the Abbeville Hospital Center for observation.
