A55 vehicle fire and crash cause major delays in North Wales

A vehicle fire on the westbound carriageway of the A55 near Rhos on Sea forced the road to be closed, prompting emergency services to attend the scene. Traffic Wales warned drivers to expect delays while the fire was being dealt with.

In a separate incident, a crash near the Posthouse Roundabout also blocked the A55 westbound, creating additional queues. Inrix reported that traffic was partially blocked between junctions J39 (A41) and J38 (A483) as a result of the accident.
