Multiple fatal and non-fatal accidents and heavy traffic congestion have been reported across several regions.
In Côte d'Ivoire, a bus accident on the Niakara-Tafiré axis resulted in five deaths and 37 injuries, including two children.
In Guinea, lightning strikes in the Gaoual prefecture have claimed four lives in a single night, bringing the total death toll from lightning to ten over the last three months.
In France, significant traffic disruptions were reported due to a multi-vehicle accident on the A10 motorway in Charente-Maritime and heavy holiday return traffic on the A8 near Nice. Bison Futé predicted difficult driving conditions for the final weekend before the school year begins.
