A93 motorway closure at Regensburg interchange
The A93 motorway will undergo a full closure in both directions at the Regensburg interchange this weekend to facilitate the installation of a temporary bridge. According to Autobahn GmbH, the closure is scheduled to begin on Saturday at approximately 19:30 and is expected to conclude on Sunday afternoon around 16:00.
Traffic heading toward Hof will be diverted via the Regensburg-Universität junction, while traffic heading toward Munich will be rerouted through the Sinzing junction. Drivers traveling from Passau to Munich will also follow the Sinzing diversion. Certain routes, such as those from Nuremberg to Hof, will be redirected to the Regensburg-Universität junction.
Traffic on the A3 motorway remains unaffected. Additionally, four specific crossings at the interchange will remain open: Hof to Nuremberg, Nuremberg to Munich, Munich to Passau, and Passau to Hof. The installation of this temporary bridge is intended to allow traffic to continue flowing in all directions during the renewal of the motorway interchange starting in 2027.
