AAA announces Ola de Calor match card and title bouts

AAA Ola de Calor Lucha Libre Damian Priest Rey Mysterio AAA Latin American Championship

AAA has announced several major match updates for the upcoming Ola de Calor event, scheduled for August 30, 2026, at the Bert Ogden Arena in Edinburg, Texas.

Following the suspension of Omos by General Manager Rey Mysterio, Damian Priest has been added to a four-way match for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship. Priest will compete against El Fiscal, El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., and La Parka.

Additional matches confirmed for the event include a gauntlet match to determine the number one contender for the Reina de Reinas title, a battle for the AAA World Tag Team Championship between the champions War Raiders and Los Americanos, and a six-man tag team match featuring Penta, Dragon Lee, and Rey Fenix against members of Perros del Mal. The event will also feature the debut of El Carnicero.
