AAA Border brings Mexican lucha libre to OBR as Dominik Mysterio prepares for Ecuador tour
The AAA Border wrestling promotion will stage a live lucha libre show on Saturday, 18 July, at the Municipal Gymnasium in OBR. The event, scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., is expected to draw hundreds of fans and will feature traditional Mexican masked wrestlers performing high‑flying moves. Tickets are sold through XTicket.mx, and organizers highlight the cultural heritage of Mexican wrestling, which was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mexico City in 2018.
Separately, AAA megachampion Dominik Mysterio, son of Rey Mysterio, said in an exclusive interview that he wants the Mysterio name to be associated with his own persona, “Dirty Dom”. He will make his first appearance in Ecuador as part of a Latin‑American tour, hoping to bring the passion of Hispanic wrestling fans to the region. Mysterio cited the demanding schedule of more than 200 shows per year and the personal sacrifices involved in his career, while emphasizing his role as a representative of Mexico on the international stage.
