Aachen hosts 10,000 attendees for Jeck im Sunnesching festival finale

Approximately 10,000 costumed attendees gathered at the CHIO Allianz-Park in Aachen to celebrate the conclusion of the Jeck im Sunnesching festival season. The event featured over eight hours of Kölsch music performed by ten different bands.

Performances included sets by Kempes Feinest, Planschemalöör, and Hopfenkehlchen. Notable moments included Cat Ballou performing the new song ‘Immer för immer’ with Peter Brings, and Kasalla debuting ‘Ich liebe diese Stadt’. The band Kasalla also provided a spectacle when bassist Sebastian Wagner was carried over the crowd in an inflatable boat during the song ‘Pirate’. The musical program concluded in the evening with performances by Bläck Fööss, Druckluft, and Die Höhner.

Organizer Jochen Gasser noted the strong connection between the bands and the audience. The 2027 festival circuit is scheduled to begin on June 5 in Münster, followed by events in Cologne and a premiere in Hückelhoven on June 26.
