Aachen police raid organized cannabis cultivation operations

Aachen police, in coordination with the Aachen Public Prosecutor's Office, conducted a large-scale operation targeting organized cannabis cultivation and trafficking. The raid involved over 100 personnel and targeted 14 residential and commercial properties across several locations, including Aachen, Herzogenrath, Mönchengladbach, and Elsdorf.

During the searches, authorities discovered five cannabis plantations and seized significant quantities of dried and packaged cannabis, plants, and specialized cultivation equipment. Additionally, officers recovered weapons, ammunition, tens of thousands of euros in cash, forged identification documents, debit cards, and various data storage devices. Four vehicles were also impounded.

As part of the ongoing investigation into five suspects, four arrest warrants were executed during the operation, while a fifth had been served previously. Three additional individuals were taken into temporary custody. Investigators also identified two further locations of interest in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis.
