AADE manages transition of OPEKEPE agricultural subsidies
The Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE) is managing the substantive transition of agricultural subsidy management from OPEKEPE. Giorgos Pitsilis, Governor of AADE, noted that while the formal integration of OPEKEPE into AADE was completed on January 1, the technical transition of the management system is still ongoing.
A new digital application, myAGRO, has been launched for submitting agricultural subsidy applications. The new system will utilize data cross-referencing, checking land plot details through the Land Registry and lease information via the Property Owners Register (MIDA).
Following October 16, there will be a 25-day period dedicated to corrections for Single Common Agricultural Policy (IACS) declarations. Pitsilis acknowledged that the process is behind schedule due to the complexity of developing a state-controlled application, but noted high engagement with the new digital tools.
