Aadhav Arjuna alleges DMK-AIADMK collusion in TN bypolls

Public Works Minister Aadhav Arjuna has alleged a political collusion between the DMK and AIADMK regarding the upcoming bypolls in Madurantakam and Dharapuram. Speaking at a campaign meeting for the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) candidate Maragatham Kumaravel, Arjuna claimed the two major opposition parties have reached an understanding to facilitate specific outcomes in these constituencies.

Arjuna further accused the DMK of planning to distribute Rs. 5,000 per vote in the Madhuranthagam constituency for the October 6 polls. He urged voters to accept such payments for personal expenses, such as Deepavali, but to cast their votes for the TVK ‘Whistle’ symbol instead.

Arjuna asserted that the TVK aims to eliminate money power from the electoral process, contrasting the party's approach with previous election cycles. He also criticized the current state of the AIADMK, stating it no longer represents the legacy of its founders, M.G. Ramachandran and J. Jayalalithaa.
