Aaditya Thackeray demands probe into Ram Mandir trust

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray has called for a transparent investigation into the Ram Mandir trust, alleging corruption regarding donations. Thackeray stated that devotees worldwide have been disturbed by claims of wrongdoing involving funds managed by the BJP-appointed trust, demanding accountability and punishment for any misuse of donations.

In a separate critique, the Shiv Sena (UBT) compared Donald Trump’s proposed “Trump Dividend” in the United States to welfare schemes in India, such as Maharashtra’s “Ladki Bahin” program. In an editorial published in the party mouthpiece Saamana, the party argued that the “freebie culture” in both nations undermines democratic values and public accountability. The party further criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 2014 campaign promises and alleged that public funds are increasingly being used as electoral instruments.
