AADL 3 housing program expands in Khenchela and Tizi Ouzou

The AADL 3 social housing program is progressing through various stages of development and preparation across several Algerian provinces. In Khenchela, a national call for tenders has been launched for the construction of 1,800 rental-purchase units. This includes an initial phase of 500 units located in the Khenchela commune, alongside plans for an additional 1,000 units on the Fringal road, where geotechnical studies have already been provisionally assigned.

In Tizi Ouzou, the AADL 3 program involves 5,200 housing units distributed across five communes: Boudjima (1,750), Mizrana (1,200), Timizart (1,000), Aghribs (1,000), and Azazga (250). While the sites have been identified, reports indicate the program remains in the preparatory phase with a “fragile start” compared to other regions.

Nationally, work has commenced on 146,640 units for the first part of the AADL 3 program, with the first key handovers scheduled for November 1. Béjaïa remains a central location for these national distribution operations.
