Aalborg man sentenced to prison for drugs and firearm possession

A 56-year-old man has been sentenced to three years and three months in prison for the possession of a pistol and narcotics intended for resale.

The case originated from a police visit to the man's home in Aalborg Øst in March 2025, following a tip regarding narcotics. During that search, authorities discovered 50 grams of amphetamine and approximately 350 opioid pills. Additionally, police found photos on the man's phone depicting him with a handgun at various locations.

Following a subsequent report regarding an abandoned cabin scooter, police recovered a pistol and ammunition under a seat. DNA evidence linked the weapon to the 56-year-old. Although the defendant denied involvement regarding the firearm, the judge found him guilty based on the photographic evidence and the proximity of the scooter to his former neighbor's property. The defendant has appealed the verdict.
