Aalsmeer municipality presents multi-year balanced budget

Finance Alderman Sven Spaargaren described the budget as a realistic and structurally balanced plan that follows a cautious course to ensure long-term financial health.
Key focus areas include the social domain, with investments in prevention, welfare, caregiver support, and youth services through improved cooperation between education and care partners. The municipality also aims to support residents regarding employment, income, debt relief, and integration.
Infrastructure and community projects include the development of a new swimming pool to replace De Waterlelie by 2027, as well as investments in sports facilities and public spaces. Additionally, the municipality is working on an updated Agenda for Economy, Recreation, and Tourism, alongside sustainability initiatives focused on energy savings, housing, and climate adaptation.
