Aam Aadmi Party donations fall 68 per cent in 2025-26

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) reported a 68 per cent decline in disclosed contributions for the 2025-26 financial year, according to filings with the Election Commission. Total donations fell to Rs 12.10 crore from Rs 38.10 crore in the previous year.

Two major contributors, Trident Limited and Prudent Electoral Trust, each provided Rs 5 crore, representing approximately 83 per cent of the party's total funds. The donor list, which includes 1,202 entries, also features individual contributions from AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, former Delhi chief minister Atishi, and Punjab unit president Aman Arora.

Among the listed donors is Ashutosh Ranka, a former AAP spokesperson who later became a co-convener of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP). Ranka contributed Rs 21,100 to the party prior to his political move to the CJP.
