Aamir Khan's 'Lalkaara' Casts Sidhant Gupta, Replaces Farhan Akhtar

Bollywood sports drama Lalkaara, directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and starring Aamir Khan as India's first Test captain Lala Amarnath, has undergone a major casting change. Actor Farhan Akhtar exited the project due to scheduling conflicts with a biopic on R.D. Burman, but remains a producer on the film. Jubilee star Sidhant Gupta has been confirmed as Akhtar's replacement, taking on the role of one of Aamir Khan's close friends.

The film, which revisits the historic 1952 India‑Pakistan Test series, is scripted by Piyush Gupta and Neeraj Singh and is set to begin principal photography on October 1 in Mumbai. The change in cast is not expected to affect the production timeline.
