AAP criticizes BJP and Congress over 1984 massacre legacy

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab Media In-charge Baltej Pannu has criticized both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress for their perceived attitudes toward the Sikh community following the death of Sajjan Kumar.

Kumar, who was convicted in connection with the 1984 Sikh massacre, recently held his final bhog ceremony. Pannu alleged that while the BJP had previously criticized Congress leaders for their remarks regarding Kumar, three BJP Members of Parliament—Kamaljeet Sehrawat, Rambir Singh Bidhuri, and Yogender Chandolia—attended the ceremony.

Pannu accused both major parties of failing to support the Sikh families displaced during the 1984 violence, claiming they have shown a lack of genuine understanding regarding the suffering of those affected by the massacre.
