AAP leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj and Jarnail Singh face FIR in Delhi

Delhi Police has registered an FIR against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders Saurabh Bharadwaj, Jarnail Singh, and several party workers. The charges involve allegedly attacking and obstructing a head constable who was on duty in plain clothes during a road inspection in the Tilak Nagar area.

The incident stems from a dispute regarding road quality. AAP leaders claim that PWD Minister Pravesh Verma slapped Jarnail Singh during the inspection. In response to the video of the alleged assault, AAP supporters reportedly surrounded and attacked a police officer who was recording video at the scene.

Saurabh Bharadwaj has announced plans to visit the Police Commissioner’s office to demand an FIR against Pravesh Verma. AAP has accused the Delhi Police of acting as a shield for the BJP and has criticized the detention of party volunteers and leaders.
