Governor Maximiliano Pullaro promotes Santa Fe’s productive model at Aapresid congress
Governor Maximiliano Pullaro inaugurated a new animal‑by‑product rendering plant in Recreo, emphasizing the province’s role as a driver of Argentina’s economy. He reiterated that Santa Fe is the country’s most productive province, citing 7,000 SMEs, 21,000 agro‑producers and roughly 80 % of national export value, and noted that about 2.2 million trucks travel its roads each year.
At the opening of the 34th Aapresid congress in Rosario, Pullaro presented the “ADN productivo” model and highlighted the mining and energy sectors as new opportunities to reduce the trade deficit and achieve fiscal balance. He also announced recent infrastructure spending of about US$2.3 billion, including road upgrades and a 400‑km gas pipeline.
Mayor Pablo Javkin marked the return of the Aapresid congress to Rosario after a two‑year hiatus, underscoring the city’s importance to the national agro‑industry. During the event, a technical guide for recovering degraded soils was launched by Aapresid, INTA, the Ministry of Agriculture and Syngenta. The BCR Agtech Forum, held at the Rosario Stock Exchange, attracted more than 800 participants, 40 startups and 23 investment funds, facilitating roughly 120 business meetings.
