Aardman Animations to produce Pokémon stop-motion series for Disney+

The Pokémon Company and Aardman Animations have announced a new stop-motion animated series titled ‘Pokémon Tales: The Misadventures of Sirfetch’d & Pichu’. The series will stream exclusively on Disney+ worldwide.

Set in the Galar Region, the show follows the adventures of Sirfetch’d and Pichu as they embark on quests to protect other Pokémon. The project utilizes Aardman’s signature stop-motion artistry and was detailed during a panel at the Pokémon XP event in San Francisco.

In addition to the new series, Disney+ has recently added ‘Pokémon the Series: The Beginning’ to its platform, featuring the original adventures of Ash and Pikachu.
