Aarhus Fremad shifts home matches to Silkeborg during stadium renovation; Silkeborg signs striker from Fremad
The Riisvangen stadium in Aarhus is being renovated to meet 1st‑division standards. While work proceeds, Aarhus Fremad will play its first five home games at Riisvangen and then move the remaining autumn and winter fixtures to JYSK Park in Silkeborg, starting from round 10. Director Jesper Blicher Dahl explained that the club had no suitable venue in Aarhus after AGF declared the Vejlby pitch unusable for multiple teams over winter, prompting the temporary relocation.
In a related move, Silkeborg IF have signed 22‑year‑old forward Lucas Riisgaard from Aarhus Fremad on a contract running until 2031. Sports director Jesper Stüker said the club wanted a player with “high speed” to boost its attacking options, noting Riisgaard’s pace on deep runs and his ability to challenge defenders.
