Aarhus man remanded for attempted rape in Risskov

A 19-year-old man has been remanded in custody for four weeks following a hearing at the Aarhus Court. He is charged with two attempted rapes and robbery in the Risskov area of Aarhus, occurring on July 12 and September 27.

The suspect has denied all charges. During the hearing, it was revealed that the individual has prior convictions for assaults on women. The court ordered the suspect to be held in surrogate detention, meaning he will be placed in a psychiatric ward or a secured institution rather than a standard jail.

To protect witnesses and due to the suspect's age, the judge closed the proceedings to the public and implemented a name ban at the request of the defense.
