AARISE announces debut game Kiwi Boing for 2027

French studio AARISE has announced its debut title, ‘Kiwi Boing’, a 3D collectathon platformer scheduled for release in the fourth quarter of 2027. The game will be available on consoles and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Set in a vibrant archipelago, the game follows a flightless kiwi attempting to return home after a plane crash. Players will explore hand-crafted islands, collect plane parts, and interact with eccentric characters such as parrots and former pirates. The gameplay features high-mobility mechanics, including wall jumps, air dashes, and a unique beak-planting move to propel the character through environments like tropical resorts and lighthouses.

The studio is composed of industry veterans, including former developers of ‘Empire of the Ants’ at Tower Five. CEO Olivier Lambert noted that the team reunited to create this project following the dissolution of their previous studio. The game utilizes a distinctive modeling clay aesthetic achieved through a proprietary terrain tool. A playable demo is scheduled to debut at the French Pavilion during Paris Games Week from October 22 to 25, 2026.
