Aaron Busuttil wins first Q Tour event for Malta

Aaron Busuttil has become the first player from Malta to win a WPBSA Q Tour event. The 35-year-old secured the title in Sofia, Bulgaria, by defeating 17-year-old Edward Jones 4-0 in the final.

Busuttil's championship run was marked by high consistency, as he dropped only three frames across his final six matches. His path to the title included victories over Riley Powell and Sybren Sokolowski. Jones, representing England, reached his first Q Tour final after defeating Dean Young in the semi-finals.

The tournament featured 109 players from 24 nations. Busuttil's victory earns him a £6,000 top prize and moves him to second place in the Q Tour rankings.
