Aaron Donald evaluates potential return to Los Angeles Rams
Former star defensive tackle Aaron Donald is evaluating a potential return to the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams. Donald, 35, has participated in official workouts with the team to assess how his body acclimates to football activities after retiring in March 2024.
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay stated there is no “invisible deadline” for Donald’s decision, though he expressed hope for a resolution “sooner than later.” McVay emphasized that the team does not want to place unnecessary pressure on Donald regarding roster limits or unforeseen circumstances.
Donald’s potential return comes as the Rams bolster their defensive line, having recently acquired star defensive end Myles Garrett. While Donald is currently on the NFL’s retired list, he can apply for reinstatement. If he chooses to return, the team would likely welcome him without needing to cut or trade existing players before the roster is finalized.
