Aaron Donald targets Monday night return with Los Angeles Rams

Aaron Donald plans to make his NFL return this Monday night for the Los Angeles Rams in a matchup against the New York Giants. After a two-season retirement, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year stated that playing in the Monday Night Football game is ‘the plan’ and that he is feeling physically prepared following recent practices.

Donald’s return comes at a critical time for the Rams' defense. The team is currently looking to bolster its pass rush following the loss of Myles Garrett, who is sidelined for at least four games due to knee surgery. While Donald’s exact role and snap count remain uncertain, his presence is expected to provide a significant boost to the defensive unit.

Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay expressed hope regarding Donald’s availability, noting that the veteran has been participating in drills and is ‘champing at the bit’ to return to the field.
