Alaric Jackson suspended two games for punching Buffalo Bills linebacker

The NFL has suspended Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson for two games without pay following a postgame altercation with Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb. The incident occurred on Monday night at SoFi Stadium during jersey exchanges and handshakes following the Bills' 37-34 overtime victory.

Television footage captured Jackson striking Chubb in the face with a right-handed punch after a brief verbal exchange. The league cited a violation of Rule 12, Section 3, Article 1, which prohibits acts contrary to the principles of sportsmanship. Rams head coach Sean McVay confirmed that Jackson intends to appeal the decision.

The suspension will cause Jackson to miss upcoming games against the Arizona Cardinals and the Las Vegas Raiders. To fill the vacancy, the Rams are expected to rely on veteran tackle David Quessenberry.

This marks the second suspension for Jackson; he previously served a two-game ban in 2024 for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy. He also faced legal scrutiny earlier this year following an arrest on suspicion of felony domestic battery in June, though no formal charges were filed in that matter.
