Aaron Judge's postseason availability uncertain due to calf injury

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is in doubt for the upcoming MLB postseason following a moderate strain of his right soleus muscle. The injury occurred during a game against the Minnesota Twins last Wednesday.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone stated that the team is planning for Judge to be unavailable for the Wild Card Series, which is expected to feature a matchup against the Boston Red Sox. To manage the injury, Judge received a platelet-poor plasma (PPP) injection on Monday and will have limited physical activity in the coming days.

This injury follows a recent return from a three-month absence caused by a broken rib. While Judge is eligible to be activated for the regular-season finale against Baltimore, his availability for the playoffs remains uncertain, with recovery timelines typically ranging from two to six weeks for such strains.
