Aaron Judge sidelined with rib bone bruise, Yankees await diagnosis

Aaron Judge missed his third consecutive game as the New York Yankees dealt with a bone bruise on his right rib that is also causing shoulder discomfort. Manager Aaron Boone said the team is obtaining additional high‑resolution imaging to clarify the injury and that Judge’s status remains “day‑to‑day.”

Judge has been hitting .248 with 17 home runs and 38 RBIs this season, but his production has dipped, recording only one homer in his last 18 games. The bruised rib was first identified during off‑day testing and follows a prior stress‑fracture diagnosis from 2020.
