Aaron Murray converts to Islam in Söke, Turkey
Aaron Murray, a resident of Cork, Ireland, has converted to Islam in Söke, Turkey. Murray stated that he was moved by the atmosphere of unity and brotherhood he witnessed during Eid prayers, which prompted him to research the religion.
A conversion ceremony was organized by the Söke District Mufti's Office. During the event, Murray recited the Shahada in the presence of witnesses and officially adopted the name Harun.
Deputy District Mufti Adem Karataş and District Preacher Nevzat Karataş provided Murray with information regarding the fundamental principles of Islam and religious practices. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of a conversion certificate, the Quran, and various gifts.
