Aaron Phypers ordered to pay Denise Richards $25,000 in sanctions
A Los Angeles court has ordered Aaron Phypers to pay Denise Richards a total of $25,762 in sanctions as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. The ruling, issued at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, follows contentious disputes during the discovery process.
The first sanction of $10,987 was imposed after Phypers failed to properly respond to written questions submitted by Richards’ legal team. An additional $14,775 in sanctions was ordered following a stipulation reached in open court regarding a protective order Richards filed on June 26. Phypers is required to pay the total amount within 10 days.
Other legal matters remain unresolved, including motions to compel Phypers to respond to Richards’ initial demands for the production of documents and evidence. Judge Puente has scheduled further hearings for December 2 and instructed both parties to attempt to resolve these discovery disputes through consultation before filing joint statements.
