Aaron Ramsdale faces career decline at Southampton

Former Arsenal and England goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has experienced a significant decline in his professional standing. Once a Premier League starter and PFA Team of the Year selection, the 28-year-old currently finds himself as the fourth-choice goalkeeper at Southampton.

After losing his starting position at Arsenal to David Raya, Ramsdale moved to Southampton following a loan spell at Newcastle United. His recent activity has been limited to a single appearance for the U-21 squad in a Premier League Cup match against Blackburn, which was attended by fewer than 300 spectators.

His market value has also seen a sharp decrease. Previously valued at approximately £40 million, his current valuation is estimated at around £12 million. Despite his current lack of first-team minutes, he remains on Southampton's official EFL squad list.
