Aaron Rodgers sells luxury real estate and previously funded NJ surveillance
NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is liquidating significant portions of his real estate portfolio ahead of his final season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. His recent listings include a $15 million contemporary estate in Cedar Grove, New Jersey, which features eight ensuite bedrooms and views of the Manhattan skyline. Additionally, he has put a $39.5 million Mediterranean-style villa in Malibu, California, on the market.
Reports also indicate that Rodgers previously funded local security infrastructure in his New Jersey community. Through an LLC, he donated $37,000 to the township of Cedar Grove to purchase approximately 17 automatic license plate reader (ALPR) cameras for the local police department. While town officials described the donation as a generous addition to law enforcement tools, privacy advocates, including the Electronic Frontier Foundation, have raised concerns regarding the use of such technology to surveil the public.
