Aars police investigate apartment burglary

Police in Himmerland are investigating a burglary that occurred Monday morning in an apartment on Himmerlandsgade in Aars. A witness reported seeing a man and a woman acting suspiciously near a first-floor window.

The witness observed the man climbing through a bedroom window that had been pried open with a crowbar. Approximately ten minutes later, the man exited the building carrying two large, filled sports bags before leaving in a vehicle with the woman.

Authorities have secured DNA evidence at the scene. While the exact extent of the theft is currently unknown because the victim is on vacation, Himmerlands Politi stated that both perpetrators have been identified and they expect to make arrests soon. The witness was able to provide the vehicle's registration number to assist the investigation.
