Aarti Industries commissions Phase I of Zone IV project in Gujarat

Aarti Industries Limited (AIL) has announced the successful commissioning of Phase I of its Zone IV project located in Jhagadia, Gujarat. This milestone is part of the company’s ongoing expansion to enhance its specialty chemicals manufacturing capabilities.

Phase I includes the commencement of operations for Calcium Chloride, PEDA (2-Phenyl Ethyl Diethyl Aniline), and a portion of a Multipurpose Plant (MPP). These new assets are intended to strengthen downstream integration and provide flexible manufacturing for high-value and niche products. Some products planned for Zone IV are expected to be manufactured in India for the first time.

The PEDA facility expands AIL’s ethylation platform to serve agrochemical applications, while the Calcium Chloride facility supports the energy and additives portfolio for sectors such as oilfield markets. The Multipurpose Plant is designed to scale pilot-validated processes into commercial production, allowing the company to respond more quickly to market requirements across the pharmaceutical, coating, polymer, and agrochemical sectors.
