Aayandeh Pouya Holding defends Shafa Darou privatization process

Ali Zarei, CEO of Aayandeh Pouya Holding, has defended the legality and professional basis of the Shafa Darou stock offering process following a suspension of its sale on the stock exchange. Zarei emphasized that the privatization process has adhered to official regulations and legal frameworks designed to protect shareholder rights.

Regarding the company's valuation, Zarei stated it was conducted by the Center for Official Experts of the Judiciary and subsequently updated in two stages in collaboration with Lotus Parsian Investment Bank, a licensed entity under the Securities and Exchange Organization. He noted that the valuation is based on expert documentation rather than arbitrary decisions.

Zarei also clarified the separation of responsibilities, noting that Aayandeh Pouya Holding and Bank Melli Iran are not responsible for introducing or verifying the eligibility of buyers; that authority rests solely with the relevant capital market regulatory bodies. He added that the decision to divest Shafa Darou aligns with national policies regarding the exit of banks from non-banking activities, as mandated by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance and the Law to Remove Obstacles to Competitive Production.
