AB de Villiers predicts competitive South Africa tour for Bangladesh

Former South African cricket legend AB de Villiers has expressed optimism regarding the Bangladesh cricket team's upcoming tour of South Africa in November. Following Bangladesh's recent performance in Australia, where they secured a historic nine-wicket Test victory in Darwin, de Villiers believes the team is capable of a competitive fight in South African conditions.

However, de Villiers noted that South Africa presents one of the most difficult challenges for batsmen globally due to pitches that offer both swing and seam movement. He advised the Bangladeshi batters to remain proactive rather than purely defensive. Drawing from his own experience, he suggested adjusting positioning—such as moving away from the crease or changing how they protect the stumps—to adapt to the movement of the ball.

The tour will consist of two Test matches, three One Day Internationals (ODIs), and three T20Is. The first Test is scheduled to begin on November 15 in Johannesburg, followed by the second Test on November 23 in Centurion.
