AB InBev posts strong Q2 2026 earnings as global beer market steadies
Anheuser‑Busch InBev reported a 5.6 % rise in revenue and a 23.4 % jump in underlying earnings per share for the second quarter of 2026. Volume of beer grew 1.1 % while the company’s mega‑brands, especially Corona, delivered a 17 % increase outside the home market. Non‑alcoholic beer revenues rose 27 % and overall EBITDA grew 5.8 % to $5.938 billion, lifting the EBITDA margin to 35.6 %.
The broader beer sector shows flat global volumes but steadier income, with premium, low‑alcohol and mixed‑drink offerings cushioning the decline. Analysts note that AB InBev now holds about 25 % of worldwide beer production.
In the wine arena, Argentina Reloaded is holding its Buenos Aires edition from 31 July to 11 August, featuring more than 100 Argentine wineries, trade tastings and a public fine‑dining dinner. The digital Cyberwine 2026 sale runs 4 – 9 August, letting consumers order directly from 50 Argentine bodegas with discounts up to 50 %.
Separately, Argentine researchers have developed a biodegradable biocomposite made from corn starch and grape marc that cuts weed emergence and irrigation needs, offering a sustainable alternative to herbicides in vineyards.
