ABA Life secures $40 million investment from Admaius Capital Partners
Moroccan healthtech company ABA Life has signed a $40 million (400 million dirhams) investment agreement with pan-African private equity firm Admaius Capital Partners. The deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions and approval from the Competition Council, aims to scale the company’s Mediot AI platform and support international expansion.
Founded in 2021 as the healthcare arm of ABA Technology, ABA Life focuses on combining artificial intelligence, medical technology, telemedicine, and connected health infrastructure. The investment will support three primary objectives: accelerating the “AI for Sovereign Health” programme, industrializing the deployment of healthcare technologies and services at scale, and pursuing international growth through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Mohamed Benouda, founder and chairman of ABA Technology, stated that the funding marks a new phase of acceleration for the company as it seeks to become one of Morocco’s next technology unicorns by demonstrating that profitable, innovation-led healthcare models can be built and exported from Morocco.
