Abadina sets player registration deadline for 50th TBS Distrito

The National District Basketball Association (Abadina) has called upon the eight participating clubs to complete their initial player registrations for the 50th edition of the TBS Distrito tournament, scheduled for 2026.

Tournament Commissioner Nelson Ramírez announced that teams must register their first 10 players by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 7. This deadline follows the technical competition regulations, which require registration nine days before the start of the event. The tournament is set to begin on Tuesday, September 15, at the Arena Banreservas Profesor Virgilio Travieso Soto.

The inaugural match will feature the defending champion, Mauricio Báez, against San Carlos. Other participating clubs include Los Prados, San Lázaro, El Millón, Rafael Barias, Huellas del Siglo, and Bameso. Ramírez noted that all players, including international reinforcements and Dominicans returning from abroad, must meet eligibility requirements and possess an International Transfer Certificate (CTI) to participate.
