Abana Viana Festival returns with three‑day youth program in Viana do Alentejo

The municipality of Viana do Alentejo will host the Abana Viana Festival Jovem from 10 to 12 July at the Quinta da Joana. The free‑entry event features three days of concerts, DJ sets, flamenco, funk and a youth‑focused slide‑splash inflatable, as well as a camping area aimed at reviving the tradition of multi‑day stays.

Mayor Luís Metrogos said the programme was shaped by suggestions from local young people and highlighted the festival’s role in civic participation, job‑market outreach and the creation of a municipal youth assembly and annual forum. Saturday’s schedule includes a sunset set by DJ Edu, the Bispo concert at 23:30, and the finals of the Inter‑neighbourhood sports tournament.

The festival’s organizers, including the GRAVA association, intend to attract participants from across Portugal, offering daytime activities beyond the evening performances and encouraging community involvement.
